James Gibson

​Jim Gibson is a seasoned Sales Executive at Insurance Marketing Agencies (IMA), where he specializes in serving clients across the brewing, restaurant, contracting, property management, and technology industries. With a unique blend of entrepreneurial and financial expertise, Jim brings a deep understanding of his clients’ needs—particularly those in hospitality and craft brewing—thanks to his experience owning and operating a brewery and restaurant prior to joining IMA. He began his professional journey as a financial advisor, laying a strong foundation in strategic planning and client service.

Raised in Revere, Massachusetts, Jim has also called northern Rhode Island home for a decade and spent seven years in Tucson, Arizona. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a certification in Financial Planning from Boston University. Currently, he is further expanding his skill set by pursuing a degree in Software Development and Cybersecurity.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys exploring the outdoors—especially skiing and hiking throughout New England. He lives with his wife Amanda, with whom he’s shared 18 wonderful years, their two sons, Rhys and Elliott, and their two energetic puggles.
